The Great Focus of the China-US G20 Summit

The biggest focus of global attention at the Osaka G20 summit will be a meeting during the summit: a meeting between President

Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping. Chinese and American leaders will seek to resolve the trade and technological war between

the two countries.

President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping will this week seek to restart the troubled U.S. -China trade

negotiations. Reported that the meeting is widely believed to be Trump’s last effort to get the negotiations back on track before

imposing a 25% new tariff on $300 billion of Chinese goods. U.S. companies warned that the new tariffs would expose consumers to

higher prices, disrupt long-established supply chains and undermine the interests of the United States in the world’s second

largest economy.
