All three major U.S. stock indexes fell 2 percent on Monday, with the s&p 500 on track for its worst December since
the great depression.Global stocks have fallen for seven straight sessions and risk sentiment has been tempered by
fears of a global economic slowdown, with copper trading in Shanghai weaker and spot prices following suit.
At the same time oil prices plunged to their lowest level in more than a year, dragging down commodity prices.
